Rehabilitation for your patients
Sword connects your patients to an AI-supported physiotherapy programme delivered by a dedicated physiotherapist and overseen by a physiatrist-led clinical team that offers continuous monitoring and support. Sword is free through the SNS.
How to prescribe
Use code 1552.2 Telerreabilitação - Programa inicial de tratamento (12 meses) for a patient's first programme and 1553.2 Telerreabilitação - Programas subsequentes de tratamento (12 meses) for another programme in a different body area within the same 12-month period. Learn more
Supervised care, delivered at home
Sword is an SNS-accessible physiotherapy option for patients with musculoskeletal conditions.

Dedicated physiotherapist
Each patient is assigned a dedicated physiotherapist who supervises the programme from start to finish, reviews progress between sessions, and adjusts the plan as the patient recovers.

Personalised programmes
The physiotherapist builds an individualised exercise plan at the outset and updates it as the patient progresses. Any questions along the way go directly to them.

Clinical oversight
With unlimited sessions, Sword's technology tracks movement quality and adherence. AI flags changes to the clinical team to support continuity but not replace clinical judgement.
Breaking down barriers to care
Sword’s at-home physiotherapy helps your patients start care sooner, gives you better visibility into their progress, and offers a validated option when traditional access falls short.
Prescribing is simple
Sword is prescribed via an electronic P1. If a patient needs support before their appointment, Sword can prepare a structured clinical report reviewed by a doctor.
01
Identify the patient
You identify a patient who would benefit, or they come to you asking for Sword. No referral paperwork is needed on your end to get started.
02
Issue a telerrehabilitation P1
Prescribe 1552.2 under Área G - Medicina Física e de Reabilitação. One unit per prescription. Use 1553.2 for subsequent programmes.
03
The patient starts in days
The patient submits the prescription, completes an assessment call with their physiotherapist, and receives the Sword kit at home. Guided sessions begin within days.
04
The programme begins
Unlimited sessions are supervised by a physiotherapist under a physiatrist-led team. A report on the patient's baseline findings, outcomes, and progress is available at programme end.
Finding Sword on your platform
Use code 1552.2 for a patient's initial programme and 1553.2 when prescribing a subsequent programme for a different body area within the same 12-month period.
Identifying the right patients
Sword is designed for progressive, exercise-based physiotherapy from home. Your judgement in the consultation is the starting point and Sword's onboarding call confirms fit before the programme begins. Patients who aren't a good match are identified and directed appropriately.

When Sword fits:
Have a musculoskeletal condition appropriate for progressive, exercise-based rehabilitation
Would benefit from faster access to physiotherapy
Can participate safely from home
Need structure, accountability, and ongoing clinical guidance
Can use a smartphone or tablet, or have light support from a family member or caregiver
When it may not:
Need urgent evaluation or have clinical red flags
Have rapidly worsening symptoms
Require hands-on care as the primary intervention
Cannot safely exercise at home
Are unable to engage with a digital programme, even with support
Get what you need to prescribe with confidence
We'll send you a referral kit covering the programme, the clinical evidence, and the prescribing process in full detail.
The kit also includes patient-facing materials explaining how Sword works and how to get started, ready to hand over at the point of referral.
The highest standards of clinical rigour
Sword is built on clinical research. Our results are validated through a two-tiered approach: controlled trials against high-quality, in-person care, and real-world evidence.
Backed by randomised clinical trials, Sword is as effective as high-intensity in-person physiotherapy and may help patients improve sooner.
Built for adherence Sword members complete their programme at an 81% rate. With in-person physiotherapy, 50% of patients drop out after just four sessions.
Guided by a dedicated physiotherapist Every patient is assigned a dedicated physiotherapist who reviews progress and updates the programme as needs change. When needed, clinical concerns are escalated to a physiatrist.

A lighter load on the system, and on your schedule
No waiting lists
Patients start treatment in days, which reduces the repeat consultations and renewed prescriptions that build up whilst they wait.
Fewer re-prescriptions
Fewer P1 re-prescriptions frees up appointment slots in an already stretched agenda.
No transport needed
Care from home removes the need for non-urgent patient transport, which can cost more than the treatment itself.
Wider reach
Home delivery narrows the geographic gap in access to physiotherapy, particularly for patients in the interior.

Ready when they need it
Prescribe telerrehabilitation today. Sessions start within days, with a progress report available to you at programme end.
