The Thrive Pad helps you recover faster from home
Living with pain can make everyday life feel smaller. Commutes, meetings, chores, and hobbies become harder when your back, joints, or muscles are not cooperating. Many people know they need help, but traditional care can be tough to access. Appointments require time off work, travel across town, and energy you might not have. It is easy to delay, then weeks turn into months, and pain becomes part of the routine.¹
The Sword Thrive Pad was built to change that story. It brings AI physical pain care into your home, guided by a dedicated Doctor of Physical Therapy, so recovery becomes accessible, consistent, and personal.
When Thrive first launched, the Thrive Pad tablet experience was central to delivering real-time movement guidance at home. Today, Thrive has evolved even further. Many members can now begin sessions immediately using Vision AI in the Sword app, while the Thrive Pad remains available for members who benefit from a dedicated device experience.
What is the Sword Thrive Pad?

The Sword Thrive Pad is an FDA-listed tablet that members can use to complete their personalized Thrive physical pain care program. The Pad’s in-built wide-angle cameras use computer vision so Phoenix, our AI Pain Care agent, can see how you move.
As you follow the movements on screen, the system provides clear visual and audio guidance to help you adjust your position, improve alignment, and stay on track.
The Thrive Pad arrives ready to use. You place it in its stand, connect to Wi-Fi, and begin your first guided session. There is no need to download additional apps or connect extra hardware.
Many people search for the Sword Thrive tablet or Sword Health tablet. That is the Thrive Pad. It is designed specifically for guided recovery at home.
How does the Thrive Pad work to help you recover at-home?

During your session, you position yourself in front of the Thrive Pad. The cameras track your movement while you follow guided instructions on the screen.
You receive simple cues such as adjusting your posture, slowing down a movement, or lifting slightly higher. When you perform a movement well, you receive encouragement. When an adjustment is needed, the feedback is clear and easy to follow.²
Your care plan is created and monitored by a Doctor of Physical Therapy. They review your progress and adjust your program as you improve.
The technology supports your recovery, but a real clinician prepares your plan, delivers feedback as you progress, and adjusts your plan to make sure you recover with speed and safety.
Vision AI sessions in the Sword Health app
The team at Sword' is constantly striving to improve on our smart AI technology so our members can enjoy an even more simple, effective, and accessible experience. The Thrive Pad marked a strong evolution in healthcare tech, and now the addition of Vision AI sessions within the Sword app make it even easier for Thrive members to work on their personalized AI Pain Care program.
How does Vision AI work within the Sword Health App?
- Members can now complete sessions using Vision AI directly in the Sword app on their mobile or tablet device
- Vision AI technology uses your device’s camera to provide movement feedback in real-world home environments.
- This allows us to bring the same technology of the Thrive Pad experience to each members own device.
- The Vision AI proprietary technology can function in smaller spaces and adapt to different lighting conditions
- We can maintain reliable tracking of your progress regardless of the type or size of your room
The Thrive Pad remains available for members who need or prefer a dedicated device. Vision AI sessions in the Sword Health app expands access and simplifies recovery, but the Thrive Pad is still an excellent alternative for people with specific clinical needs.
How does Vision AI support you during Thrive sessions?

When you join Thrive, you are not left alone with a device or an app. You work with a Pain Specialist who holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. They design your personalized recovery plan and monitor your progress throughout your program.
During sessions, you will also interact with Phoenix, which acts as your built-in session guide. Phoenix talks you through each movement, provides reminders about the correct form you need for your exercises, and offers encouragement as you progress.
If you have a question or something feels uncomfortable, you can write and send a text message within your Sword app program. Both Phoenix and your clinician stay connected in the same conversation thread. That means your clinician can see your progress and step in whenever clinical input is needed.
You always have the oversight of your matched care specialist. You are never navigating recovery alone, and you always have a human clinician in the loop.

Vision AI means Thrive members can start recovery faster
For many members, this revolution of Vision AI means recovery can begin sooner. Instead of waiting for a Thrive Pad device shipment, all Thrive members need to do is download the Sword app, connect with their Pain Specialist, and start guided sessions right away.
Thrive’s evolution from the Thrive Pad to Vision AI is not only about movement tracking. The new Thrive experience makes it so much easier to communicate, connect with your matched care specialist, and to ask questions about your program.
What does a typical Thrive session feel like?
Thrive is designed to feel structured and manageable. Consistency is what drives progress. Sessions are designed to be short, focused, and realistic to complete within just a 10-15 minute block. All you need is the Sword mobile app, so you can access and complete your personalized care plan exercises from any location at any time of the day or night that suits your schedule.
You open your plan on the Thrive Pad or in the Sword app. You see the first movement and follow along. If your position needs adjusting, you receive clear feedback. If you are performing well, you receive reinforcement.
You can pause if needed. You can message your clinician if something feels unclear. After the session, your progress is summarized and reviewed.

How does Thrive and the Thrive Kit make recovery easier?
Traditional recovery can work, but it often asks a lot from you. Appointments book up quickly. Traffic and parking add friction. Paper handouts can leave you wondering if you are doing things correctly. When life gets busy, the first thing to go is the routine that does not fit. That stop-and-start pattern makes progress hard to see, so motivation fades. Many people wait until pain is severe before trying again, and by then the path back is longer.¹
This is not a motivation problem. Thrive removes the time, access, and confidence barriers that make in-clinic recovery difficult. The Sword Thrive Pad and Sword Thrive Kit are designed to help you recover with ease. Your Thrive program is now also available with Vision AI sessions in the Sword App, allowing you to start sooner and stay consistent.
- No commute: Sessions happen at home when you are ready.²
- No guesswork: Phoenix and your DPT provide real-time form correction on screen.² ³
- No isolation: You have built-in support and quick messaging for coaching and adjustments.² ³
Thrive brings clinic-grade guidance into your living room. When recovery fits into daily life, it becomes easier to stay consistent. Research in digital musculoskeletal care has shown meaningful improvements in pain and function when members stay engaged in guided programs.³
Progress is not about perfection. It is about showing up regularly.
Why you need to act early on pain
Pain that lingers can affect how you move and how you feel. Avoiding activity can reduce strength and confidence. Over time, that pattern can make everyday tasks more difficult.¹ ⁴ ⁵
Acting earlier can help interrupt that cycle. Guided movement under clinical supervision can support strength, mobility, and confidence when appropriate for your condition.
Sword Thrive's AI Pain Care makes it easier to maintain a steady routine at home.³
- Better results than high-intensity in-person PT: 30% better recovery and stronger engagement³
- Strong mental health benefits: 64% reduction in depression and 50% reduction in anxiety levels⁴ ⁵
- Improved function and less pain: 67% of members pain-free³
Members tell us the biggest difference is how manageable the program feels. Sessions are focused and achievable, and the guidance is specific enough to build confidence. Over time, that consistency leads to fewer bad days and more days that feel like you again.³ ⁴
Thrive members reviews speak for themselves
Beyond the clinical outcomes and cost savings, what matters most is how Thrive changes daily life for members. Here are some of the ways people describe their experience:
I can’t believe how easy it is to follow. The Thrive Pad shows me what to do, and Phoenix keeps me on track. For the first time, I actually look forward to my sessions.”
I used to dread going to appointments. Now, I finish my recovery in my living room and feel more supported than ever.”
Thrive gave me my life back. My pain is under control, and I can keep up with my kids again.”
These voices reflect what sets Thrive apart: it is not just about pain relief, it is about restoring confidence, independence, and energy. Members appreciate that recovery fits into their lives rather than forcing them to rearrange everything around it.
What about privacy and safety using Thrive?
Your privacy matters. Whether using the Thrive Pad or Vision AI in the app, your data is encrypted and handled under strict privacy and security standards.²
Your Doctor of Physical Therapy reviews your progress and adjusts your program as needed. You can pause sessions at any time and communicate within the platform if something feels off. Safety and oversight are built into the experience and your data is always protected.
How do you get started with Thrive?
- Check eligibility and enroll. If your plan includes Sword, getting started takes minutes.
- Receive your Sword Thrive Kit and Pad. Unbox, place the Pad in its stand, and connect to Wi-Fi.²
- Complete your first session. Phoenix will guide your setup, then you follow your plan at your own pace.
- Stay consistent. Short, regular sessions create the biggest change. Your DPT will fine tune the plan as you progress.
If you can give Thrive a few focused minutes most days, the sword thrive tablet will do the rest, from coaching your form to helping you build a routine you can stick with. The Sword Thrive Kit and Thrive Pad are built to remove barriers, improve follow through, and make recovery part of normal life.
