Apply for this roleThe ISC Planning Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring that products are available when customers need them. This position focuses on balancing predicted product demand with the available supply through careful planning and effective resource management. The manager's responsibilities include developing strategies for accurate demand forecasting, understanding market trends, and analyzing product ordering patterns. They collaborate closely with various teams across different business units and engage with stakeholders to ensure that the supply chain operates smoothly and efficiently.
Additionally, the planning manager strives to minimize costs, reduce the time required to prepare products and maintain a high level of customer service. This involves working closely with departments such as logistics, procurement, manufacturing, and data analysis. The manager will also facilitate regular planning alignment meetings and monthly SIOP (Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning) to ensure alignment and progress toward these goals.
What you'll be doing:
- Develop effective forecast models across hardware and services channels. Experience with both B2B and B2C models, and associated seasonalities are preferred.
- Work with Sales & Marketing and Integrated Supply Chain Operations to build and maintain a robust, statistical forecast model.
- Understand sources of demand (customer, consumer, pricing, promotions, etc.).
- Recommend and implement adjustments to improve demand forecast accuracy KPIs.
- Conduct monthly forecast maintenance and communicate forecast and inventory estimations to management.
- Address demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Plan inventory flow and purchases.
- Present, interact and assess feedback on the various forecasts from commercial, customer success, and finance.
- Provide input to the supply planning in developing inventory strategies on existing items and new products.
- Execute statistical modeling software, gather, analyze and validate data.
- Apply error analysis techniques to improve forecasting.
- Prepare and maintain relevant reports pertaining to the demand planning process.
What you need to have:
- MBA or Masters from a recognized university with focus on Operations Research and/or Supply chain Management.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in supply chain planning and optimization, or in supply chain strategy and automation roles.
- A strong understanding of the integrated supply chain, including sourcing, logistics, manufacturing, and the returns and refurbishment process, particularly within the semiconductor, electronics, and high-tech automation sectors.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing closed-loop supply chain operations.
- A proven ability to optimize supply chain processes by leveraging Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) or Integrated Business Planning (IBP) activities.
- High familiarity with digital tools and enterprise platforms, including ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle, as well as inventory planning and optimization tools, with an emphasis on enhancing operational efficiency.
- Strong data-driven decision-making skills, along with a keen eye for detail and the ability to recognize patterns.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively engage with all levels of the company's value chain.
- Must be based in the Porto Metropolitan Area or nearby, as this role is hybrid.
Bonus Points or We'd Love to see:
- Project Management Institute (PMI) or APICS certified.
- Experience in leading process improvement initiatives (Kaizen, TPS, Lean, Six-Sigma) within supply chain environments, particularly in high-volume, high-tech hardware operations.
- Strong understanding of digital tools and technologies used in procurement and supply chain management, such as inventory management software, ERP systems, and logistics platforms.
- Familiarity with inventory optimization strategies to enhance cash flow while ensuring 100% on-shelf availability of products across different markets.
- Knowledge of robotic process automation tools to improve supply chain efficiency and streamline operational workflows.
