Liz Santo, PT, DPT, CSCS, is the Senior Clinical Program Manager for Bloom at Sword Health, where she works closely with Jennesa Atherton, our Head of Clinical Affairs for Bloom. Together, Liz and Jennesa develop clinical strategy, and design and optimize Sword's women’s health programs, serving more than 300 employer and health plan clients. Liz’s work ensures every program within Bloom delivers measurable improvements in outcomes, satisfaction, and access to care, while still upholading our industry-leading standards of clinical excellence.
She partners closely with Product, AI, and Operations teams to transform our clinical insights into digital women's healthcare programs that deliver consistent healthcare improvements for Bloom members. Liz's work has been central to Bloom’s evolution from an emerging solution to a category leader in digital women’s health.
Liz cares passionately about expanding access to world-class women's health care, and she is determined to help the Bloom team on it's mission to help stop women from suffering through pelvic dysfunction in silence.

Education
Liz earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Columbia University, where her research focused on functional mobility outcomes and prosthetic use, culminating in a publication in the Journal of Physiotherapy. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from San Diego State University and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). Her career prior to Sword showcases her deep clinical expertise in women's health and pelvic health physical therapy in particular.
She has also completed advanced executive coursework through eCornell, earning certificates in Aligning Healthcare Products and Strategies, Quality and Process Improvement, Strategic Decision Making, and Leading Collaborative Teams. This knowledge strengthens her ability to bridge clinical care, operations, and organizational leadership.
Experience
Before joining Sword Health, Liz founded and directed Orthology’s pelvic health program in New York City, where she built a referral network of over 100 physicians and led a team that consistently achieved five-star patient outcomes. She also founded Pelvic Collective PT, an educational platform that empowered patients and clinicians with accessible, evidence-based insights into pelvic health.
Her early career spanned outpatient orthopedics, biomechanics research, and clinical education, including teaching and research roles at Columbia University and the Salk Institute for Biological Studies. Across these experiences, Liz developed a deep understanding of how clinical innovation, data, and design thinking can converge to improve outcomes and equity in care delivery.
